Saturday, October 4: StrokeOT Second Annual Walk and Roll

We are thrilled to be partnering with Spokes Fighting Strokes again this year, who will be providing adaptive bikes, ensuring everyone can participate and enjoy the event to the fullest.

Hosted at the beautiful Southington Linear Trail, participants will enjoy a scenic route perfect for walking or cycling. Whether you're a seasoned walker, a wheelchair user, or trying out an adapted bike for the first time, everyone is welcome to join in the fun. Join us immediately after at Kinsmen Brewing Company for a celebratory gathering and raffle.

  • Date: 10/4/25 (10/5/25 rain date)
  • 10:00 am - 12:00 pm opening ceremony 
  • 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Celebratory gathering and raffle at Kinsmen Brewing Company.
  • Location: Southington Linear Trail on Mastrianni Pl. Southington, CT

Sat. June 28th: Elisabeth Park Rose Garden Walk/Roll and Picnic:

  • Join us for a beautiful stroll or ride around the wheelchair-accessible rose garden path, followed by a picnic lunch.

  • Meeting time: 11:00 am

  • Meeting location: 1555 Asylum Ave, West Hartford, CT 06117

    • Parking area (includes handicapped parking) next to greenhouse (7)

Thursday, July 17 & Thursday, August 21: Adapted Water Skiing and Picnic

  • Location: LOF ADAPTIVE SKIERS. 351 River Road. Southbury, CT. The event runs from 9:00-3:00 with a complimentary lunch provided.
  • Enjoy the park-like setting on the Housatonic River with wheelchair-accessible beach access to the river. An accessible port-o-potty and a changing shed.
  • Come watch or participate in adaptive water skiing on a sit-ski or a standing ski with outriggers. Family members are welcome to watch, but not to ski.
  • Volunteer ski experts will assist you. Safety equipment and instruction provided.
  • Bring: Bathing suit, towels, sunscreen, sandals or water socks
  • LOF Adaptive Skiers requests $30 per skier in the form of a check made out to LOF Skiers or cash. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please contact Carolyn.BrownOT@gmail.com and StrokeOT will cover your fee.
